BRNO Style Leather Arm Chair - Inspired By Designs of Van Der Rohe
To collectors, this modernist piece is also known as the MR50. A 1930s unconventional take on seating that would be globally recognized almost a century later.
The chair was originally created by van der Rohe to grace the interior of a modernist prototype historical building in the Czech Republic. The chair’s design is based on the cantilever chair design, which is untypical with a single leg frame in an L shape. The design provides a sturdy foundation and has some spring, which adds to the seater’s comfort and support. The chair’s construction has a flat-based steel base and Italian leather. Use several to grace your modern home, office, or event. Available in plain or stitched styles.
