DKR Bikini Wire Chair - Inspired By Designs of Charles & Ray Eames
The DKR Bikini Wire Chair was conceived in 1951 by Eames and became an instant hit. Half a century later, it’s still a retro hit amongst mid-century modern enthusiasts.
The DKR chairs were conceived by Eames with the idea of making a light, but strong and functional chair. Eames achieved his goal, now we bring you our version and pay homage to him. We keep the crossing mesh of wires and its spectacular sculpture, “Eiffel” for a base, and at 12 pounds, we kept it light. We also kept its sleek style, which makes this chair, an ongoing contemporary hit. The chair’s base is made chrome. The seat pad is 2-pieces and made from faux leather. The DKR style chair is available in either black or white.
